A steam patch is a content update which has been released on Steam, Valve's digital distribution and video game community. This guide is for users of the PC version of Nekopara Vol.1: Steam 18 Patch who want to know how to activate or extract the update without downloading it manually. Reference: Steam support page here, Steam Patch FAQ If you wish to participate in the steam patch, please follow the instructions below. It will take less than 15 minutes to apply, so please be patient! Note that this process will not remove or change your game files. Beware of copying files with special characters (like e-mail addresses) with special meaning (e.g., spaces instead of dots). These characters can sometimes cause trouble with the patching program! The latest version of Necessaire for Necessaire (available here ), is currently the only officially supported update method for Nekopara Vol 1.1. Please uninstall any previous versions of Necessaire or Nekopara before installing this version. Please check that you have downloaded the right version for your language. If you are using a localized install of Windows, please verify that your system locale is correctly set to the language/region installed. Failure to do so may result in errors when running "Necessaire Update Tool". Enable Steam Cloud Sync for your game folder (Steam properties -> Local files -> Synchronise game files). This will ensure all patch data, including saves and other game data, are kept in sync between your PCs. You will also need to have the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 installed. It is included in most versions of Windows, but if you do not have it, you can download it from here. If Necessaire fails to launch after installation, please check your firewall settings and try running it again with administrator privileges. To re-open Necessaire if it crashes or closes unexpectedly, search for Necessaire in your Steam library. Then right click on the game and select "Properties". In Properties, select "Necessaire Update Tool" from the "Launch Options" list and click OK. cfa1e77820
